The aim of our course is to give a comprehensive overview of the workings of the Scrum Master role and the tools you have at your disposal. You can experience and try that through a life-like process in concrete simulations.
Our course is recommended to individuals or groups who have set it as their goal to effectively support agile teams and consider themselves capable of adopting the role of a serving leader rather than a manager and they believe in the power of teams, creativity and co-operation
It is an advantage if attendees have already encountered the basic agile terms, its way of thinking and are familiar with the Scrum framework and its elements.
The Scrum Master’s role is a rather complex one. Its key aim is to help teams create value, define and apply a framework, as well as to improve co-operation either within a project or an organization. As each situation and team is different, the Scrum Master needs a broad range of tools, an in-depth knowledge of agile values, the right attitude, way of thinking and skills.
The 2-day course was compiled with a focus on essentials and practice, and it simulates the most commonly occurring situations and things to do from setting up a team to process a new idea through establishing the framework for its operation and continuously supporting and developing it, through simulating ceremonies and the creation of a real, self-organizing team.
The course is rather intensive, and it includes appr. 20% theory and 80% practical elements so we set the number of attendees per group between 4 and 7. In this way everyone will get a chance to experience certain situations in the role of Scrum Master.
The course contains role-playing elements and practical situations focused on gaining personal experiences, the outcome of which depends chiefly on the team. The course may also be organized on site, in which case we adapt the situations to the wishes of the client.
