Step up your server-design expertise and build modern, secure, high-performance HPE solutions! This course gives you the practical skills to plan, size, and design end-to-end HPE ProLiant, Apollo, Synergy and hybrid-infrastructure platforms. You work with security features, iLO management, on-prem and cloud tooling, HPC and Big Data concepts, lifecycle management and proposal development so you can deliver solid, future-ready server architectures.
This course is designed for professionals who design, position, or deliver HPE compute solutions in customer environments. It is ideal for consultants looking to strengthen solution architecture skills, pre-sales and sales engineers who build technical proposals, systems engineers responsible for deploying or managing HPE infrastructures, and solutions architects who design secure, scalable server platforms for modern workloads.
Knowledge and/or certification of one of the followings:
- Building HPE Data Center Solutions, Rev. 17.41
- Building HPE Server Solutions, Rev. 18.11
HPE servers have shaped enterprise compute architectures for more than three decades, powering everything from traditional data centers to today’s hybrid, analytics-driven environments. As organizations adopt increasingly diverse workloads—including virtualization, container platforms, HPC clusters, AI/ML pipelines and data-intensive applications—the need for well-designed, secure and scalable server infrastructures has grown rapidly. HPE’s ProLiant, Apollo and Synergy systems have become widely used across industries because they combine strong performance, built-in security, and flexible lifecycle management tools that support both on-premises and cloud-integrated operations.
The Designing HPE Server Solutions course gives you a structured, practical foundation to design these modern infrastructures with confidence. You explore how HPE platforms evolved, how their architectural choices support real-world workloads, and how security, management and composable technologies have become essential elements of a reliable compute environment. You learn to assess requirements, select the right server platform, apply Gen10/Gen11 security concepts, use tools like iLO and OneView, and develop complete solution proposals that fit customer needs and long-term growth plans.
By the end of the course, you understand how HPE compute solutions are applied in enterprise IT, cloud-connected data centers, high-performance environments, and large-scale transformation projects—ensuring your designs are both technically strong and aligned with modern business demands.
After you successfully complete this course, expect to be able to:
- Provide a high-level overview of technologies within the HPE ProLiant server portfolio.
- Describe security risks Describe Gen10 security features and high-level security strategy.
