We interviewed Gáspár Geönczeöl, a reservoir engineer at Magyar Földgáztároló Zrt., who has been a returning participant at our Training Centre for years. After completing courses in Python Programming Basics, Java Programming Basics, JavaScript Programming Basics, Microsoft Access Macro Programming, and PHP Programming Basics, we asked him about his experience in our latest C# Basics course.

How did you hear about Masterfield? Why did you choose our Training Centre?

I searched online for IT training providers and chose Masterfield based on the course content and pricing. I kept coming back because of my positive experiences. While browsing, I found several IT training companies, but I chose you because I saw many positive reviews and the price-to-value ratio felt right for me.

What is your current position at your workplace?

I have been working in my field for over 17 years as a reservoir engineer at Magyar Földgáztároló Zrt., developing models based on flow modelling and thermodynamics. I work with innovative technologies (hydrogen storage, physico-chemical modelling, etc.). In our engineering discipline, IT—and especially programming—are essential cornerstones.

Why did you enroll in our C# Basics course? How does it relate to your job?

Because my job involves moving, organising, and processing large volumes of data in databases and data warehouses, I felt I needed to take my programming skills to the next level. Until now I had mainly used VBA, but I believed that building skills in C# and Python would help me work more efficiently.

What did you like most about the course? Is there anything you'd highlight?

What I enjoyed most was the hands-on approach and working through well-chosen, representative examples. These helped me truly understand and internalise the new material.

What is your opinion on the organization?

The organisation was impeccable, and I was completely satisfied with everything.

How did you find the instructor and the quality of the education?

The instructor was outstanding, and the overall quality of the training was excellent. The courses are consistently engaging, practical, and high-quality, which keeps me motivated.

Did you complete the course online or in the classroom, and what were your experiences with the chosen format?

I attended the course online, which we got used to during the pandemic years. While it has both advantages and disadvantages, I now feel ready to try attending in person again.

Do you plan to take more courses? If so, which ones?

I had been programming in VBA, but I wanted to learn modern object-oriented languages and development environments. Since my company supported my professional development, I enrolled in Masterfield’s courses. I gained highly useful knowledge that I can apply in my work. Naturally, I plan to continue with further training, such as: Intermediate C# Programming Course, Advanced C# Programming Course, WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) Programming in C# - Introductory Course, WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) Programming in C# - Advanced Course, Web and Mobile Application Development in C# Course.
