Agile Release Train (ART) refers to large teams of around 75-125 people, which can be divided into independent teams of 5-10 people. The SAFe® for Teams professional development program provides guidance and tools for those working in teams, even in a virtual environment, within the SAFe® framework.

The program is optimized for Lean-Agile team members who want to gain experience of how the SAFe® Agile Release Train works. Participants will learn how to dissect features, write user stories, develop the different processes of the team and the train, and also how to plan and execute each iteration.

There are no formal prerequisites for the training. Knowledge of Agile concepts, principles, Scrum, Kanban and eXtreme Programming frameworks is an advantage but not mandatory.

The SAFe framework is used by a wide range of large companies, from financial, TELCO or even the pharmaceutical industries, so the knowledge gained can be immediately applied in such enterprises.

SAFe® for Teams participants will learn about their role in the agile team as part of ART and how their team can work with other teams in it. The professional development program focuses on planning and implementation.

Participants will learn about the concept and operation of ART and the practical application of Scrum, Kanban and XP in the SAFe® framework. They will also learn about iteration planning practices and the Planning Interval planning process.
